Stephen trained as a solicitor with the Telecoms Media and Technology team at Osborne Clarke. In 1998 he moved to Wragge & Co where he worked as a specialist IT lawyer until leaving to co-found Technology Law Alliance in 2003.
He is highly experienced in working on large value IT and outsourcing contract negotiations across a range of sectors. He has substantial experience in offshore and pan-European outsourcing projects.
Stephen is recognised by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Legal Experts as a leading practitioner in IT law. He is also listed in People of Today as an influential member of UK business and society.
Examples of Stephen's recent work include:
- working closely with a major European energy utility to create framework agreements to receive offshore software development and maintenance services.
- advising a major IT supplier on a bid to supply a new SAP system to run customer facing accounts for one of the largest building societies in the world.
- advising a supplier on a significant IT programme for a central government department implementing a major policy initiative in the field of child protection with a value of approximately £50 million.
