Jagvinder qualified as a software engineer and completed academic requirements for chartered engineer status before training and qualifying as a solicitor with Pinsent Curtis (now Pinsent Masons). He worked in the specialist technology team at Wragge & Co until the end of 2002, leaving to co-found Technology Law Alliance. He has been seconded to the legal teams of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 technology companies.
He is a regular contributor to IT and legal press, and a recognised speaker in the field of technology law.
Jagvinder specialises in IT contracts, outsourcing (particularly offshore projects) and e-commerce work. He is recognised as a leader in the field by Legal 500 and Legal Experts publications.
Examples of Jagvinder's recent work include:
- a multi-million pound technology contract involving a leading multinational telecoms company. The transaction was one of considerable value and complexity, and was awarded "The Telecommunications Outsourcing Project of the Year" by the UK National Outsourcing Association.
- acting for a major supplier on a 5-year contract to supply IT services to a central government department, in a deal estimated to be worth approximately £200 million.
- advising on subcontracting arrangements on a contract worth in excess of $100m with a leading global pharmaceutical company.
